香港東方書畫院20260206期［院長梁君度］ 《石碁新歲，翰墨重光：一代宗師麥華三的書法人生》 Shiqi New Year, Brush and Ink Rejuvenate: The Life of a Generation of Master Mei Hua-san in Calligraph 
2026年2月6日，廣州番禺石碁鎮舉辦新春文化活動，同時發布了重新編印的書法經典——《古今書法匯通》。這部著作的作者，正是出自石碁的嶺南書法巨擘麥華三先生（1914–1995）。這場雅集，不僅是一場迎春翰墨盛會，亦是一次對先賢書法精神的回望與致敬。 麥華三，原名麥健，字華三。自幼痴迷書法，遍臨歷代碑帖，後入讀廣東大學（中山大學前身），深厚的學養為其藝術之路奠定了基石。他師古融今，博採眾長，於楷、行、隸諸體皆臻化境。其楷書紮根二王、唐楷，融魏碑雄強，結體嚴謹，筆力沉厚；行草承襲晉唐清韻，流暢秀逸，書卷氣盈然；隸書深得漢碑精髓，古樸中見剛勁。從典雅秀逸的筆墨中，可見其“集古大家之大成而機杼自出”的藝術追求。 他不僅是卓然大家，更是躬身教育的園丁。曾執教於廣州美術學院等多所高校，桃李滿門，併力主書法教育應從青少年起步，編撰教材、開設專欄、舉辦講座，不遺餘力推動書法走向大眾。在學術上，他著述宏富，《古今書法匯通》《書法源流》《王羲之年譜》等著作，以簡明語言梳理書史脈絡，兼具學術深度與普及意義。 麥華三的筆墨深深融入時代肌理。1954年，他受命以小楷恭錄中華人民共和國首部憲法，成為藝壇佳話；市井常見的貴州的“貴州茅台酒”，廣州的“廣州賓館”“廣州友誼商店”，香港的“裕華國貨”“新光酒樓”等眾多商號題字，亦出自其手，雅俗共賞，深入人心。1987年，香港文滙報三十週年報慶麥老師題字“把祖國的成就報告僑胞，把僑胞的成就報告祖國”，充分體現麥老師的愛國情懷。他還積極參與書法事業建設，1963年參與創立廣東省書法篆刻研究會，為嶺南書法搭建交流平台。 其人生軌跡與家國命運緊密相連。抗戰時期，他以筆墨為刃，書寫愛國詩文；烽火連天中，仍於韶關堅持著述，《古今書法匯通》書稿雖因戰亂一度流散東瀛，反令其名遠播。他一生淡泊名利，生活簡樸，卻常將作品捐贈公眾機構。晚年仍每日臨池不輟，深信“筆墨之道，猶如逆水行舟，不進則退”。 麥華三上承康有為、劉墉等先賢遺韻，下啓嶺南清新書風，是連接傳統與現代的關鍵橋樑。其門下弟子眾多，書藝與精神得以薪火相傳。今日，石碁鎮正着力打造麥華三書法文化品牌，通過舉辦全國書法大賽、成立書法學堂、開展公益培訓等方式，讓先生的翰墨光華繼續滋養故土，照亮後來者的書寫之路。 出席本次活動的主要嘉賓包括：中國書法家協會理事、廣東省書法家協會副主席丘士坤，香港東方書畫院院長、香港書法家協會副會長、廣東省粵港澳合作促進會文化傳播委員會常務理事梁君度，番禺區政協原副主席、中國書法家協會會員彭羣，番禺區文化廣電旅遊體育局原局長、廣州市書法家協會顧問何穗鴻，書法家麥華三先生後人麥玉瓊 麥玉碧華三書院院長麥向榮，番禺區僑界菁英聯合會副會長、廣州雍華集團有限公司董事長曾劍華。番禺區及石碁鎮領導代表：番禺區人大常委會副主任王向東，番禺區委宣傳部四級調研員曾超雷，番禺區歸國華僑聯合會主席陳麗穎，番禺區歸國華僑聯合會副主席王毅明 馮慧，番禺區文化廣電旅遊體育局四級調研員孫智慧，石碁鎮黨委書記徐瑤及石碁鎮領導班子全體成員。 
On February 6, 2026, a new year cultural activity was held in Shi Town, Panyu District, Guangzhou, which also saw the release of a reprinted classic on calligraphy—"Comprehensive Connection of Ancient and Modernigraphy". The author of this work, Mr. Ma Hua-san (1914–1995), was a giant in Ling calligraphy who hailed from Shiqi. This refined gathering was not only a grand calligraphy event to welcome the spring but also a tribute to the spirit of late master's calligraphy. Ma Hua-san, originally named Ma Jian, styled himself Hua-san. He was obsessed with calligraph from a young age and practiced various steles and rubbings from different dynasties. Later, he enrolled in Guangdong University (the predecessor of Sun Yatsen University), where his profound knowledge laid a solid foundation for his artistic journey. He integrated ancient and modern styles, adopted the strengths of many, and reached the pinnacle regular script, running script, and official script. His regular script was rooted in the works of the "Two Kings" and Tang calligraphy, blended the strength of Wei steles, had strict composition, and thick brushwork; his running script inherited the elegance of Jin and Tang, was smooth and elegant, and exuded scholarly charm; official script deeply captured the essence of Han steles, showing robustness in its rustic style. From his elegant and refined calligraphy, one can see his artistic pursuit of "ating the achievements of great masters of the past and creating his own unique style". He was not only an outstanding master but also an educator who devoted himself to education. taught at many universities, including the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, and had many disciples. He advocated that calligraphy education should start from teenagers, compiled textbooks, columns, and held lectures to promote calligraphy to the public. Academically, he was a prolific writer, and his works such as "Comprehensive Connection of Ancient and Calligraphy", "Source of Calligraphy", and "Yuan Lu of Wang Xizhi", which outlined the history of calligraphy a concise language, had both academic depth and popular significance. Ma Hua-san's calligraphy was deeply integrated into the fabric of his times. In1954, he was commissioned to copy the first Constitution of the People's Republic of China in small script, which became a fine example in the art world. Many seen business signs, such as "Guizhou Maotai Liquor" in Guizhou, "Guangzhou Hotel" and "Guangzhou Friendship Store in Guangzhou, and "Yuhua Department Store" and "Xinguang Restaurant" in Hong Kong, were also written by him, appealing to both the refined and the common people and deeply rooted in people's hearts. In 1987, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the South China Morning Post, Mr. wrote the words "Report the achievements of the motherland to the overseas Chinese, and report the achievements of the overseas Chinese to the motherland", fully reflecting Mr. Ma's patriotic sentiments. He was also actively involved in the construction of the calligraphy cause, participated in the establishment of the Guangdong Province Calligraphy and Carving Research Association in 1963, and built a platform for the exchange of Lingnan calligraphy. His life track was closely connected with fate of the country. During the war, he wrote patriotic poems and articles with his brush; amidst the flames of war, he still persisted in writing in Shaoguan, and although the manuscript of "Comprehensive Connection of Ancient and Modern Calligraphy" was scattered in the East due to the war, it made his name known far and wide He lived a simple life and was indifferent to fame and wealth, yet he often donated his works to public institutions. Even in his old age, he never stopped practicing calligy every day, and he firmly believed that "the way of brush and ink is like rowing against the current; if you don't move forward, you will move backward" Ma Hua-san inherited the legacy of the sages, such as Kang Youwei and Liu Yong, and opened the door for the fresh Lingnanigraphy style. He was a key bridge connecting tradition and modernity. Many disciples learned from him, and his calligraphy and spirit were passed on from generation to. Today, Shiqi Town is striving to build Ma Hua-san's calligraphy cultural brand, and through holding national calligraphy competitions, establishingigraphy academies, and carrying out public welfare training, Mr. Ma's calligraphy brilliance continues to nourish his hometown and illuminate the path of for those who come after him. The main guests attending this event include: Qiu Shikun, a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association and the Vice President the Guangdong Province Calligraphers Association; Liang Jundu, the President of the Hong Kong Oriental Calligraphy and Painting Academy, the Vice President the Hong Kong Calligraphers Association, and a Standing Member of the Cultural Communication Committee of the Guangdong Province Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cooperation Association; Peng Qun, the former Vice Chairman of the Panyu District CPPCC and a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association; He Suihong the former Director of the Panyu District Culture, Broadcasting, Tourism, and Sports Bureau and an advisor to the Guangzhou Calligraphers Association; Mai Huuan, the successor of the calligrapher Mai Hua's third, and the Director of the Mai Hua's Third Academy; Mai Xiang; Zeng Jianhua, the Vice President of the Panyu District Overseas Chinese Elite Federation and the Chairman of Guangzhou Yonghua Group Co., Ltd; and representatives from the Panyu District and Shiqi Town leadership: Wang Xiangdong, the Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Panyu District People' Congress; Zeng Chaolei, a fourth-level researcher at the Panyu District Propaganda Department; Chen Lijing, the Chairman of the Panyu Districtverseas Chinese Federation; Wang Yiming and Feng Hui, the Vice Chairmen of the Panyu District Overseas Chinese Federation; Sun Zhihui a fourth-level researcher at the Panyu District Culture, Broadcasting, Tourism, and Sports Bureau; Xu Yao, the Secretary of the Shiqi Town Party; and all members of the Shiqi Town leadership team.
